Anyway, after this, the check engine light came on, and the low coolant warning and light came on. The tank is not low but i topped it off right to the cap and the message still pops up. I ordered a new one and replaced it.
If The Coolant Warning Light Comes On, You Should Do The Following:
Immediately turn on the heater at maximum temperature and maximum fan speed. I have replaced the coolant overflow reservoir cap & level sensor, created new wiring connctions at the sensor (old connections were quite frayed) and of course, checked that the coolant level is okay (which it is).
